There are REQUIRED and OPTIONALS standards, I am sharing only the most important ones and I will update the page with the other ones every time is possible.
Wonderful by Expo requires for the accommodation: REQUIRED
- Entirely natural building materials and furnishings
- Energy and water conservation (energy-efficient lights, baths and showers with water- and heat-saving systems, use of renewable energy sources or eco-friendly technologies, soundproofing and heat insulation)
- Non-smoking dining room
- Use of eco-friendly cleaning products
- Sheets, towels and mattresses made from 100% organic cotton
- Recycling of waste (in guest rooms and the rest of the premises)
- Waste disposed of properly
- Green areas maintained using environmentally friendly products and machines
- Composting of organic waste
- Stationery made from recycled paper
- Easily reached by public transport
- Food, Drink and Other Services
- Organic food or local produce available
- Disposable plates and cutlery are not used
- Mineral water mainly sourced from the region’s springs in glass bottles
- GM products or GM-derived products are prohibited
- Menu suitable for people with food intolerances, allergies and coeliac disease, as well as vegetarians, vegans and the health conscious
- Material promoting environmentally responsible and sustainable tourism
- Promotion of the area’s traditions, culture and history, as well as outdoor activities
- Guests are encouraged to reuse towels, and may leave a note for the bed to be made without changing the sheets
