Hello, today I am happy to share news from the tourism sector in Australia!
I am in love with this country where I had one of the most interesting professional experience ever, so I am glad to keep following the industry also there and to take the change to partner with colleagues when is possible.
Australian Walking and Cycling Conference will be held in Bendigo, Victoria 26 – 30 October 2018.
The act of walking and cycling have the potential to transform the places we live, our economies and how we engage with our environment. The conference explores the potential for walking and cycling to not only provide for transport and recreation but solutions to the challenges of liveability, health, community building, economic development, and sustainability.
The program will start with a Bicycle Tourism Conference, to be held on Friday 26 October, with its central theme: ‘Bicycle Tourism: Transforming Global Communities and Economies’.
Following this, CycleLifeHQ will facilitate a half-day interactive professional workshop for all local government authorities, community organizations and businesses wanting to establish, expand and optimize their bicycle tourism potential. The workshop will provide a practical approach and the tools necessary to enable destinations to attract more cycle tourists, staying longer and spending more.
After a weekend interlude featuring a Mountain Bike Trails Workshop (details below) attention on the Monday and Tuesday will turn to comprise this year’s Australian Walking and Cycling Conference.
Unfortunately, bike tourism is not yet developed as it could be, but we are working on that.
The market is experiencing a staggering growth We have seen a 13% increase in cycling holidays in 2017 compared to the previous year, and we can say that this has been a constant trend for at least 5 years”, explains Luigi Parmeggiani. Owner of Viaggi e Natura (TTG un business chiamato cicloturiamo: come vendere viaggi su due ruote).
Italybikehotels.it is one of the most interesting web platforms for bike holidays
