Experience

Where my passion for sustainable tourism come from?
I am from the very beautiful area named Alto Lario, which is on the Northern side of Lake Como (here some quick information about lake Como):

I have started be interested in tourism since high school, during university  I have followed the branch in sustainability, especially for the last 2 years. See for instance the summary of my masters degree thesis.

Albergo Diffuso project on Lake Como

During university I have met for the first time the Skål International  Organisation, an international tourism businesses association. I am a Skål International young member of Lombardia club since 2009.

Skål International is focused on  doing business among friends and committed to sustainability. More info here.

Even if I graduated in Italy my work experience has been abroad:

I have been lucky enough to work with two amazing teams of UNESCO Biosphere Reserve:

– In Wales (UK) (2011) with Ecodyfi, working for the Dyfi Biosphere Reserve

In North Devon (UK)  (2012) working for the Devon County Council, joining the North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve team in Barnstaple

Other experiences

In Switzerland ( 2012) I had chance to improve web and web marketing knowledge during an experience with Xdeers, a cool web agency focused on hospitality.

In Italy (2013) I have experienced the public sector, I given my contribute and experience on website and social media to Valli del Lario e del Ceresio (Lake Como and Lugano area) Mountain Community.

Last great experience abroad was in Brisbane, Australia with Tony Charters & Associates (2013 – 2014).

Back in Italy, in 2014 I managed social media for a couple of residences (apartment accommodation) in Lake Como area. I started a collaboration in Tuscany for a project called Golf in Tuscany: Green Casentino Experience. Both these experience lead me to more small project to develop and a network of colleagues and collaborators I trust.

2015 was the year was very satisfactory from a professional point of view.

I have been working as tourism consultant for Istituto Oikos Onlus in Non Solo Lago project: Integrated sustainable development project for Albano Valley Park (Lake Como area) and strategies for the conservation and enhancement of the environment.

I also collaborated as web-marketing consultant with The Long Run, protected areas membership organisation (born from the Zeitz Foundation) declared independent officially in October 2015 and based in London.
